Who we are
Branches Occupational Therapy is a charged occupational therapy (OT) service which is a part of Mustard Seed Autism Trust charity covering Hampshire and Surrey. We chose to expand our support to provide families and schools with greater access to professional OT services, assisting them in addressing the needs of neurodivergent children. This initiative responds to the increasing demand for specialised OT support for these children, both at school and at home.
Who We Support
The service provides assessment, advice, and intervention for autistic children
and other neurodivergent conditions, aged 2 to 18, who face challenges in their
occupational performance (learning, leisure/play, and self-care) at school, home, and
in the community. These challenges may involve sensory information processing,
emotional regulation, and/or fine and gross motor skills development.

Our Purpose
Our purpose through occupational therapy is to develop the strengths and
differences of each child. We endeavor to use neuro-affirming language and approaches.
We use our experience and knowledge as OT
practitioners to provide practical solutions for children in their educational
environments, at home and in the community with the primary purpose of:
Educating and empowering staff and parents.
Supporting functional motor development.
Developing resilience in children.
Encouraging the understanding of sensory needs and how to embed
strategies into everyday life.
Fostering collaboration between parents and schools.
