Training for parents

The Empowering Parents Course

This is a 6 week course for parents who have recently received a diagnosis of autism for their child.

It covers an introduction to autism, communication, social understanding, supporting anxiety, sensory motor and sensory processing difficulties. The course is held at Frimhurst Family House in Frimley Green and runs three times a year, alternating between daytime (9.30am-11.30am) and evening courses (7.30pm - 9.30pm). We ask for a voluntary contribution of £30 per family.

We take referrals from parents, please see "Contact Us" for details on how to self-refer.

We also run workshops on specific topics related to autism for parents. These are advertised on our Facebook page, Twitter and via relevant organisations.
